Anne Curtis is young, bubbly, brimming with life.  But look within and there’s an old soul who longs for the bygone days –  when “Casablanca” was talk of the town, when Audrey Hepburn ruled Hollywood.

“I’m an old soul,” she admits at the launch of Belo Essentials’ Beauty Deo Spray, which she endorses.

You better believe it.  The star who stands for things  sexy and hot these days , believes in the old stuff.

Dad’s influence

“It’s because of my Dad,” she explains.  “He introduced me to all the old films.  I have a collection of them – in DVD, VCD and Blu-ray.”

Film is not the only field where Anne shows her love for the classics. The Hepburn fan drools over vintage Hollywood glam.

“This dress (glancing at her body-hugging fuchsia gown) is something she (Hepburn) herself has in her wardrobe,” relates Anne.

The Kapamilya actress was in high spirits, not only because of the big crowd that applauded as she waved at them from a Ferrari across the stage in Trinoma. Anne also caught sight of Regine Velasquez’s Instagram account that day, May 12.

Regine’s verdict

“Did you see what Regine said?  She said, “Pinakaimportante sa lahat, maganda ang boses mo, Anne,”  the busy actress-host  gushed. Anne proceeded to sing  a line from “Diamonds (Shine Bright Like a Diamond).

“As long as wala akong nasasaktan na tao (ok lang),” she stressed.

Dra. Vicki Belo added, “Anne is funny, smart and self-confident. She loves to enjoy life. Sold-out ang concert niya! ”

No wonder Anne can sing “Diamonds” without flinching.  The lyrics might as well describe what she is and where she is, right now.
