YouTube sensation wins PGT season 4

YouTube sensation Roel Manlangit from Bukidnon took home the grand prize of P2-M after garnering 30.22 percent of the votes in the grand finals of the reality talent show “Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT)” season 4.

Roel won for his powerful rendition of Bamboo’s “Noypi.”

A victim of Typhoon Pablo, Roel said in a previous interview that he plans to build a house for his family should he win the grand prize.
 
“Ipapatayo namin ng bahay ng tatay ko at para sa pag-aaral ng mga kapatid ko,” he said.
 
Thanks to his rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always You” on YouTube, the 13-year-old Roel already has a number of supporters even before he won the contest. The said video got over two million views.

Ringman Frankendal Fabroa from Tondo took the second place with 26.07 percent of the votes, while MP3 band placed third with 17.48 percent of votes.
 
Other finalists are the dance group D’ Intensity Breakers, black light performers Zilent Overload and car drifters lateral Drift Productions.
 
Jovit Baldovino and Marcelito Pomoy were the previous grand winners of the  reality show.
