The longest-running amateur band competition in the country just marked its 15th year. To celebrate, Red Horse Beer Muziklaban's grand finals at the World Trade Center on February 1 featured a 30-piece orchestra to back guests Ely Buendia, Reg Rubio, Razorback, Slapshock and 2012 Muziklaban champions A Music Theory. Other guests included Gracenote, Saydie, Tanya Markova, Kjwan and Franco. This year's Muziklaban winner, the progressive rock band Manila Under Fire, took home half-a-million bucks in cash, a recording contract with MCA Universal and swag from Dickies.
