Vhong Navarro and Cedric Lee, who are still locked in a legal battle, reportedly had a chance encounter on the night of Thursday, November 20 in Bonifacio Global City.

Journalist Tony Calvento said in his Facebook account that Vhong attended the inauguration of Valkyrie Nightclub upon the invitation of fellow “It’s Showtime” host Vice Ganda. Cedric also went to the club because his friend was said to be one of its owners.

‘No untoward incident’

“Cedric Lee was not in the guest list so Vhong acceded to Vice Ganda’s invitation. He was with two companions. Apparently, Cedric’s friend is one of the owners of the club which Vice is also an investor,” Tony posted.

He claimed that “there were no untoward incident” during the night.

Tony then denied that Cedric tried to sit on the Showtime table where Vice, Vhong, Billy (Crawford) and the rest (of the "Showtime" hosts were.

"He did not even try to talk to Vice while Vhong was there,” Tony said.

It will be recalled that Vhong filed charges of serious illegal detention against Cedric, who posted bail last September.

Vice Ganda’s reaction

“Cedric did not talk to Vhong nor whisper anything to his ears as gossips have it. Vice escorted Vhong to his car and the rest of the groups. Vhong was with some security men. Vhong did not know anything more about what happened after they left,” Tony added.

Vice was supposedly surprised Cedric was around.

“Someone whispered to him that Cedric was seated at the table behind Vice so he turned and saw him but didn’t really recognize him. Cedric was looking at the direction of Vhong’s table. Vhong’s group decided to leave,” Tony reported.

Asked to comment on the issue at the 28th Star Awards for TV, Vice, won the Best Celebrity Talk Show Host trophy, said, “Ayaw kong magkwento ng ganyan, mapapagalitan ako. Ayaw kong magshare. Pasensiya na.”

Vhong’s legal counsel Alma Mallonga said in a text message to Yahoo Philippines that she still cannot confirm the reports.

“I am relying on reports myself. I don’t want to comment at this time.”
