Bianca King enjoys being a freelancer

After being a GMA talent for many years, Bianca King can now work in different networks as a freelancer.
Bianca first started working in TV5 early this year via the teleserye “Obsession” while she was still with GMA.

Her first project as a freelancer is “Wattpad Presents: His Secretary.”

Love and respect

“They really make me feel like an artist. I feel the love, the respect and appreciation. Iyon talaga ang motivation ko to perform talaga,” Bianca said at the TV5 press conference.

As a freelancer, Bianca is not particular which network she's working with, as what’s important is the project she’ll be doing.

The 29-year-old actress feels thankful to TV5 for making her feel like its exclusive talent.

“For me, inofferan ako ng show, work siya for me. Hindi ko inisip kung ano bang network. Basta sa akin, kung maganda yung proyekto, blessing iyon kay Lord.”

Bianca also clarified that there is no bad blood between her and former network GMA.

School and business

“Basta kung sino yung mag-offer, i-evaluate ko pa din talaga. Right now, medyo nagi-enjoy ako na hindi ako nakatali. If may dumating na offer from any network, pwede ko siyang tanggapin.”

After “Obession” wrapped up seven months ago, Bianca took advantage of her work break to focus on school and business. She enrolled at the Center for Culinary Arts and decided to put up a restaurant (opening in December) and yoga studio with friends.

“Natupad ko yung pangarap ko na mag-culinary school. I graduated from CSB (College of Saint Benilde) three years ago. I finished my film course. Yung focus kasi ngayon sa food eh. May binuo akong konsepto for a restaurant, ako yung sa food and menu. Then yung friends ko naman sa management, so it’s a group effort. Nagbukas din ako ng yoga studio sa Rockwell.”

Top priority

But showbiz remains her top priority.

“Siyempre bread and butter ko iyon eh. Hindi naman ako makakaipon or invest kung hindi ako umaarte. I still need to be relevant in order for my businesses to flourish and gain more endorsements. At the same time, bilang adult na ako, matagal ko nang pinag-isipan kung saan ko gagamitin yung mga pinag-ipunan ko. Kailangan ko din kumita ng malaki in order for me to pursue my dreams outside showbiz,”

Bianca thanks her nonshowbiz boyfriend for helping and motivating her in her new business venture.

Preparing for marriage?

Are they already planning their wedding?

“Yung pagpasok sa business, wala naman kinalaman na gusto kong mag-asawa. Being practical lang talaga. Nasa lalaki pa din naman iyon when. Kung kailan ibibigay ni Lord, tatanggapin ko siya. Pero hindi ako yung namimilit na kailangan at 31 dapat kasal na ako,” Bianca replies.

TV5's “Wattpad Presents” premiered last Monday, November 24, while “His Secretary” will have its pilot episode on Monday, December 1.
