Is John Lloyd Cruz ready for marriage?
Showbiz couple John Lloyd Cruz and Angelica Panganiban will not tie the knot anytime soon because the Kapamilya actor wants to focus on his career first after renewing his ABS-CBN contract for another three years.
“Sino naman ang hindi gustong lumagay sa tahimik, di ba? Pero kung ang paglagay sa tahimik ay ihahalintulad mo sa kasal agad, parang maraming paraan paano malagay sa tahimik. At this point, kakapirma lang natin ng kontrata. I would like to show my bosses na nasa top priority natin ngayon yung trabaho and gusto natin maachieve yung content ng kontrata, makadeliver tayo para sa pinirmahan natin, sa commitment natin sa network,” he said on “The Buzz” last Sunday, January 25.
Feeling pressured
The 31-year old actor admits feeling pressured about marriage, but his dreams and career obligations are his main priorities for now.
“I’m not getting any younger. Imposible naman na hindi ka maramdaman yung pressure. But it’s good to know your priorities.”
He insists that he still has no immediate plans of starting a family.
“Hindi ko pa alam. Hindi ko pa siya nakikita. Right now, I’m really focused on achieving my goals, as far as this contract is concerned.”
A separate interview with Angelica showed that the actress is already thinking of marriage.
Love for kids
“Basta kapag nagpropose siya, sabi ko ayaw ko ng madaming tao. Ayaw ko ng event. Gusto ko parang kami lang, family,” she told reporters at the press conference of her movie “That Thing Called Tadhana” on Wednesday, January 21.
“Mahilig kasi ako sa mga bata so magiging biased ako. Kung mangyari iyon, talagang ii-embrace ko. Feeling ko titigil ako for showbiz sandali at i-eenjoy yung buhay sandali,” she explained.
