Miss Earth 2014: Miss Ecuador Maria Jose Maza Solorzano
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
My environmental advocacy is to reduce water and air pollution. Definitely both are essential to humans, animals, and plants. Both are much more important than food. We can live without food for several weeks, but we cannot live more than four days without drinking water, and not even four minutes without breathing. I choose to protect both elements because they make possible the miracle of life. We must appreciate what we have and start to seek the balance before it’s too late. The real change depends on us.
What tip can you share to promote this year's theme, Eco Tourism?
