Miss Earth 2014: Miss Fiji Zoe McCracken
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
I chose global warming because — as someone coming from a smaller pacific island — we truly feel the effects of global warming. The fear of our small nations sinking into oblivion is becoming a common fear among the people of Fiji.
I want to educate the rest of the world so they know that we must act now to save, not only the Earth, but the people. We are all inter-connected. The Earth does so much for us we mustn't forget to love it back.
What tip can you share to promote this year's theme, Eco Tourism?
One must not forget that both humans and the Earth are intertwined. By saving one, we are essentially saving mankind. Sustaining the Earth should be a priority of all humans.
