Miss Earth 2014: Miss Guatemala Thalia Carredano
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
I think there are many projects that have helped the progress of recycling and reforestation, for example. But one of my biggest concerns is water conservation. I have been blessed growing up in a country where water is accessible, but I am aware that there are other countries that have very limited access to it.
I believe it is very important to promote water conservation, because it is a resource that will diminish once misused. We have to instill conscience in people to take care of this vital resource, so that future generations can live and develop with considerable access to water.
What tip can you share to promote this year's theme, Eco Tourism?
Build and strengthen our environmental conscience.
