Miss Earth 2014: Miss Latvija Alise Feldmane
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?
I think our environment is very, very important! Health is what we need the most — the air we breathe and the food we eat. I think I’m lucky because I can live in such a clean country — a lot of woods, a lot of fresh air. Others don’t have that.
To protect the environment is a choice each one must make by themselves, but I do it, because it makes me feel better. Personally, it’s a question of conscience and honor. If other people see me living like this, perhaps I can influence them to change their lifestyle, too.
What tip can you share to promote this year's theme, Eco Tourism?
By supporting eco tourism, we support ourselves at all times.
