CONTEST TIME! Metal fans, win free tix to Pulp Summer Slam!
Now on its 14th year, Pulp Summer Slam, Southeast Asia’s longest running metal festival is happening again on April 26, Saturday at the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City .
With general admission ticket prices at only P400 (or P5,500 for “royalty” package which includes a meet & greet with all the bands, the official Pulp Summer Slam shirt and poster, a copy of Pulp magazine, personalized Royalty ID and VIP treatment on-ground like separate parking, DSLR passes, unlimited food and drinks, and two VIP snake pits, from where artists are literally at arm’s reach), Pulp Summer Slam delivers metal mayhem for around 15 hours beginning when gates open at 12 noon.
Fourteen bands are set to play this year. Homegrown acts include the nu metal Galaw Tao from Cardona, Rizal; the female-fronted melodic death/thrash metal Voice of Tranquility; and metalcore bands David vs Goliath from Davao and Embercore from Laguna.
Opening for the first international act is Sickpig, a metal/hardcore band from Manila. And lined up towards the end of the festival are Cavite's metal/hardcore band Sucketseven and grindcore metalheads Tubero from Quezon City.
If that’s not enough to get you deaf, seven international acts are flying in from the US, the UK and Japan to join the local contingent to crank up the bedlam to 14.
