YouTube beauty guru Michelle Phan unveils jewelry line

Internet sensation Michelle Phan has proven there is no end to her talents, with a debut collection of jewelry designs, called Ever Eden, hitting fashion jewelry and accessories destination Glamhouse.

The complete collection from the YouTube beauty guru, who has also been a video make-up artist since 2010 at French beauty giant Lancôme, hit the Glamhouse website this week -- after being gradually unveiled over the past five weeks.

Available at glamhouse.com, the debut line is inspired by French heroine Joan of Arc and includes medieval designs such as earrings, rings and cuffs that retail between $25 and $95.

Speaking at a Hollywood celebratory event earlier this week, Phan explained how important her online followers are when it comes to designing.

"Every ‘chapter' or collection from here on out will be inspired by my subscribers and viewers. They're going to help me select the next story and the next character," she explained to WWD.

Phan isn't the only online sensation to have entered the realm of design -- with video blogger Julie Gutierrez recently teaming up with Jesse's Girl Cosmetics for a nail collection.

Other beauty experts to have impressed big name brands include Christine Mielke of temptalia.com, Lianne Farbes of themakeupgirl.net and Amber Katz of beautybloggingjunkie.com, who were all part of MAC's Bloggers' Obsessions line last year, which gave nine beauty bloggers the chance to create their own signature cosmetic.

Pascal Mouawad, founder of Glamhouse, explained the appeal of teaming up with an internet sensation.

"Her following is on YouTube, so what's different is that she has a big online audience, and it made a lot of sense for us to partner because I was about to launch my Web site," said Mouawad.
